About Sean Hamilton and MC Transports

I'm Sean. I've ridden motorbikes since my teens, and MC Transports is just me: the person who answers your message is the person who collects your bike and hands it back.

From a two-speed Puch to a motorbike transport business

Three bikes' worth of story, in the order it happened. The numbers on the boards are the only ones that matter here.

  1. Speeds

    2

    My first bike

    The two-speed Puch

It started in my dad's field, on a two-speed Puch, when I was in my teens. Two gears and a lot of grass.

  2. cc

    What I ride now

    Triumph Street Triple 675

I've ridden on and off ever since. These days it's a Street Triple, so I know exactly how it feels to hand your bike over to somebody else.

    MC Transports

Now I move other people's motorbikes. One person does the lot, so nothing gets lost between a call centre, a depot and a driver.

Why I started MC Transports

Bikes get bought on the other side of the county, need a run to the MOT, or have to be at a dealer by Friday. I wanted a motorbike transport service that worked the way I'd want it to if it were my Triple on the back of the van.

  • One person, start to finish

You message me, I quote, I collect and I deliver. Nobody else handles your bike, and there's no call centre to get through.

  • No depots

Your bike goes from the collection address to the delivery address. It isn't dropped at a yard somewhere on the way.

  • Prices you can see before you ask

Every starting price is on the prices page, local runs from £99. Two postcodes give you a fixed price for a standard weekday job, with no VAT to add.

Motorbike handling experience from Brewood Removals

Brewood Removals is my removals business. Moving other people's belongings carefully, up steps, through tight gates and safely onto a van, is the day job there, and some of those jobs have been motorbikes.

One was a Yamaha R1, going from Penkridge to Oxford as part of a house move. It ran fine, but the drive at the Penkridge end was steep, so we assessed it before anything was loaded. We raised the bike on the removals van's tail lift, then turned it with a three-point manoeuvre to get it from the lift into the van. The front wheel went into a wheel chock, four straps held it front and back, and removal blankets padded it on either side.

The mistakes I see most when people move a bike themselves are rushing, not looking at the space around the bike before moving it, and leaving the side stand down. So I look before anything moves.

MC Transports takes that handling experience and points it at one thing. If you're buying privately, I can collect a motorbike from the seller; if it's due a test, there's the MOT and service run. Everything I do is on the services page.

Rolls, steers, brakes. Then it's on.

What MC Transports doesn't do (yet)

  • Bikes that don't roll, steer and brake

I can't move non-runners just yet. Send the details anyway and I'll tell you straight if I can help.

  • Reviews borrowed from somewhere else

MC Transports is new, so there aren't any reviews yet. They'll appear here when real customers leave them, and not before.

  • Stock photos pretending to be me

Some pictures on this site are illustrations. None of them shows me or a real job, and real photos replace them as I take them.

  • Round-the-clock call-outs

This isn't a 24-hour service. Message any time and I'll reply as soon as I can.

How I check what goes on this site is set out in my editorial standards.

Brewood Removals and Lockerfella: my other businesses

I run two other businesses from Brewood. Same owner, same phone, same person answering it, and I'd rather you heard that from me.

  • Removals

    Brewood Removals

House, office and specialist moves across the West Midlands.

    Brewood Removals and you

Moving house and the bike needs to come too? Brewood Removals does the house; I move the bike.

Its Google reviews are for removals work. They are never shown here as MC Transports reviews.

    Visit brewoodremovals.co.uk
  • Locksmith

    Lockerfella

A locksmith covering Wolverhampton, Birmingham, Walsall and Cannock.

    Lockerfella and you

Worth a call if your garage or bike shed lock is not up to much.

Its Google reviews are for locksmith work. They are never shown here as MC Transports reviews.

    Visit lockerfella.co.uk

Both businesses have their own Google reviews. Those reviews are about removals and locks, not about moving motorbikes, so you won't see them quoted on this site as MC Transports reviews.

Questions about Sean and MC Transports

Who runs MC Transports?

Sean Hamilton, as a sole trader trading as MC Transports. It is a one-man business based in Brewood, Staffordshire, so the person who quotes for your motorbike is the person who collects it and delivers it.

Is MC Transports part of Brewood Removals?

They are separate businesses with the same owner. Sean runs Brewood Removals and Lockerfella as well as MC Transports, and says so openly. Their reviews belong to those businesses and are never shown as MC Transports reviews.

Where is MC Transports based?

Brewood, Staffordshire. Sean collects and delivers motorbikes across the West Midlands and Staffordshire, and nationwide by quote, including London.

Does Sean ride motorbikes himself?

Yes. He has ridden on and off since his teens, starting on a two-speed Puch in his dad's field, and now rides a Triumph Street Triple 675.

Can MC Transports move a bike that does not run?

Not yet. Sean can only take bikes that roll, steer and brake. If yours does not, send the details anyway and he will tell you straight whether he can help.

Does MC Transports have reviews?

Not yet. MC Transports is a new business, and reviews will appear once real customers leave them. Reviews of Sean's other businesses are never presented as MC Transports reviews.
